FOUND IN AN APRON POCKET is the realization of something I've wanted to do ever since I moved to Australia. The positively bizarre banksia nut, a pod bristling with eyes that open to release the seeds, dries down beautifully into a permanent form. Into the eyes were driven antique copper tacks, with the occasional hit of color in the form of a bead or the sparkle of cubic zirconias. A truly unusual piece.
